Heart Mind Soul Nature Community

Our Mission

At Heart Mind Soul Nature Community, our mission is to reconnect both children and adults with the natural world. Through classes, co-ops, and community programs, we encourage learning that happens outdoors—where curiosity, creativity, and connection naturally flourish.

We are dedicated to building a strong, inclusive community grounded in love, learning, and play. Our approach integrates child-led education with hands-on experiences in nature, nurturing a deep respect for the Earth &

a lifelong love of discovery.

By inspiring mindful engagement with our environment, we aim to raise the next generation of Earth Guardians—individuals who care deeply for themselves, their communities, and the planet.

We’re so glad you’re here and hope you find inspiration, connection, and joy within this community.

“Restore balance.
Most children have technology, school, and extracurricular activities covered. It’s time to add a pinch of adventure, a sprinkle of sunshine, and a big handful of outdoor play.”

“Time in nature is not a luxury. It is a necessity. And we must give our children time to explore, discover, and get to know the world, which brings endless delights and lessons that never cease.”

“All children need nature. Not just the ones whose parents appreciate nature. Not only those children of a certain economic class or culture or set of abilities. Every child.”

"We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect."

"The Earth is what we
all have in common."

"To nurture ecological identity in young children, we invite them into relationship with the world beyond walls and with the creatures that live there. We invite them into ethical thinking anchored by the compassion that comes from caring and engaged relationships. We invite them to come home to the Earth, and to live honorably in that home."

"The greatest textbooks are written by the wind, the sun, the rain, teaching us lessons that no printed page can convey."
